weekend recap and mingle monday!

Happy Monday, my friends!!

I'm finally back from my busy week and even busier weekend!
I wish I had something super exciting I could share about my weekend, but I spent most of it studying...ugh
I did however get to attend a beautiful wedding shower for two of the sweetest people I know - my good friends Trey & Danielle! They're getting married on May 19th and I am SO excited for them! ..and Pierce and I have the privilege of being in their wedding!

Now on to Mingle Monday with Meg at Life of Meg!

Mingle 240

Today's question is: What is your OCD habit? Do you have one?

Sadly, I have more OCD habits that I can count. My worst one is probably that I have to write everything down. Pierce makes fun of me all the time because he says I can't function unless I have my whole day planned out by the minute. Most people would call my life "predictable" and "boring," but I like it that way. Last-minute plans and changes freak me out!

monday..'nuff said

Happy Monday, friends!

Unfortunately, I have an extremely busy next couple of weeks with the end of the semester, finals, and papers, blech, so I'm apologizing in advance for my absence..sorry y'all :(

And since I won't have much time to blog today/this week, I would leave you guys with some pictures from my awesome weekend for entertainment.
BUT, that's not possible since my weekend was not awesome and consisted of writing papers..oh, the joys of college.

On the bright side, the weather is gorgeous!..(at least in Eastern NC)..so go outside and soak up some sun!

Have a fantastic week!

things that bother me

Happpppy Thursday, beautiful people!

Before I get started..let me just go ahead and put it out there that I consider myself a generally happy person. I smile and laugh a lot and I try to make the best out of every situation.
HOWEVER, there are quite a few things that bother me. And I mean REALLY bother me. Everyone has pet peeves, right?.. maybe I'm just crazy. Anywho, here are some things that just get under my skin:

1. When people post their whole lives on twitter and facebook. Yes, I know that sounds stupid because I post mine on my blog..but this is a BLOG. That's what BLOGS are for. Facebook and twitter are for socializing..NOT telling the whole world every single detail of your life. Nobody cares. Sorry I'm not sorry.

2. While I'm on the subject of facebook, let me just add that its also annoying when people take like 100 mirror pictures of themselves and upload them ALL. Last time I checked, you still look the same.

3. When people are talking about something they don't care about and say "I could care less." That makes no sense. If you could care less, that means that you do care. What they really mean to say is "I couldn't care less." If you can't care less, that means you DON'T care.

4. When someone walks into class 20 minutes late, sits beside you, texts for like 5 minutes, and interrupts you taking notes to ask for a pen and paper. 'nuff said.

5. When people wear wallabees with skinny jeans
not cute
 6. When people don't hold the door. I'm not expecting people to stand there and hold it for someone who is 10 seconds behind them. But if someone is right behind you, holding the door open is common courtesy...or is it just southern hospitality? Either way, it should be done.

That's about all I can think of right now, although this is nowhere near a complete list.

I really hope you guys don't think I'm a mean and horrible person now..I promise I'm not!

Someone please tell me that I'm not crazy and that at least one of these things bothers you too! And while you're at it, feel free to share your biggest pet peeves!
..even if one of them may be when people blog about things that bother them ;)

I hope the rest of your Thursday is fantastic!

what i'm loving wednesday

Happy Wednesday night y'all! We're over halfway through the week..woohoo!
I'm linking up with Jamie at this kind of love for What I'm Loving Wednsesday!

I'm loving that summertime is juuuust around the corner!
oh how i can't wait to see the ocean again!
I'm loving that Haley texted me yesterday and told me to change her facebook and twitter passwords so she wouldn't get distracted while trying to write her paper. It seriously made my day. Hilarious. If you wanna know how that worked out for her, go check out her blog and ask ;)

I'm loving that Dick's Sporting Goods is opening a store verrry close to me! They've already started building and I am beyond excited. I'm obsessed with athletic apparel...like, seriously. They're supposed to open in fall/winter of 2012 and I'm hoping to get a part-time job there..how exciting!

What are you loving?!

Happy Tuesday loves! I hope you all had a faaaantastic Easter weekend!
I know I did, but I'm not so happy to be back at school. BUT, I only have two weeks of class and one week of finals and it's sweet summertime for me!..even though I'll still be taking classes and working. OH WELL, I'm still excited ;)

Despite the rather chilly weather in NC today, I still have spring fever and I'm still dying for some new spring/summer clothes and of course, BATHING SUITS!
To show you all what I'm loving, I'm linking up with Tara at Fabulous but Evil for Target Tuesday!

Here are a few of the things I can't wait to hopefully get:

Happy Birthday, Kelly

Today's blog post is a tribute to my cousin, who passed away exactly two months ago and who should be celebrating her 22nd birthday today.

When Kelly was born, the only thing that the doctors knew was that her heart wasn't functioning properly. As her parents took care of her and watched her grow, she never learned to speak. She made noises and gestures but could never form a word. After countless visits to the doctor, her parents were told that Kelly's condition was extremely rare, and therefore didn't have a proper diagnosis.

Despite all of the things that Kelly was unable to do, she was one of the strongest and sweetest people I've ever known. She would come up to you at random and give you a kiss, she was always rubbing her tummy to let you know that she was hungry, and she loved going to church. She always had a pocketbook and cards with her and if you tried to take them, it would not be pretty. Every time the Lord was mentioned during church, she clapped her hands. As the pastor said during her funeral, Kelly spoke volumes with no words at all.

I just wanted to remind everyone to cherish every moment you have with your loved ones. Never miss a single opportunity to let them know you love them..you won't regret it.

Good Friday!

Happy Good Friday (night), fellow bloggers!
Today was a much-needed girl's day with my best friend, Haley and I had a blast.
I hope you all enjoyed this day as much as I did..even if it was a tad chilly here in NC.
Here's what we did:

Went to eat lunch at The Daily Grind in Greenville.. AMAZING. I got a chicken melt that consisted of grilled chicken strips, bacon, cheese, and grilled onions on a sandwich that was toasted like a panini. After the entree came a sinfully delicious giant piece of chocolate peanut butter pie. I'm a super picky eater and I was more than satisfied. If you're ever in the Greenville area, I would definitely recommend it.

Went to see Titanic 3-D. Titanic is one of my all-time favorite movies and it was of course, nothing short of amazing. The awesome-ness of the 3-D part wore off after about the first 30 minutes though. And it felt like the movie lasted an eternity since it's like 4 hours long and I'm not very good at sitting still for long periods of time. I love the movie, but I wouldn't recommend spending $10 to go see it in 3-D...sorry I'm not sorry.

Went shopping. It has been forever since I've done some good shopping so it felt wonderful getting some super-cute things tonight! I'm trying to expand my style horizon, so hopefully the few things I got will be a good start.
American Eagle was having a store-wide 40% off sale.. here's some of the things I got!
I have been dying for some white cropped pants, and these fit perfectly!

I hope you all had a relaxing Good Friday and have a great Easter weekend!
Don't forget what Easter is all about! ;)
